As some of you may know, in the middle of nowhere, on the Canadian border, an EMT named Mark Davis was shot and killed while responding to a chest pain call. For those of you who don't, well, now you do. Our community is really small...like really really small. We had an amazing amount of support over the last week from squads, corps, and agencies across the nation. Once I have gotten my hands on some more of the pictures, I will be posting them up here. You all will get to see what an amazing man Mark was and I think everyone will get chills looking at some of the images captured during the ceremony celebrating this hero.

Mark was like a big brother to me. I had dated him at one point. We were best friends. I think we can all be proud of what we do and to have someone like that give his life in the line of duty is something we will never forget.

Thanks,
Princess Bekah

Bekah, we're all sorry for your loss. What happened to EMT Davis stands as a stark reminder that the world is an unpredictable place, that even the good guys have to be careful, and that sometimes even if you are careful bad things happen.

The whole EMS community of the United States mourns your loss.
