In February,our company Global Training Center in Dubai organized a National “Wear Red” Day in Dubai, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Ghana, Moscow and Jakarta By taking part in the initiative, our colleagues in these locations helped raise awareness and funds for heart disease, and support the American Heart Association’s ongoing research and education activities. Dubai and Kazakhstan:
On February 7 and 8, ladies from our alarm center, offices and clinics in Dubai and Kazakhstan brightened the day by wearing various articles of red clothing and accessories to work. “Go Red for Women aims to throw the spotlight on the single biggest killer of women today - cardiovascular disease (CVD). A quarter of all deaths in the UAE are caused by CVD, while globally 35% of women are living with a heart disease” said Ahed Najjar, Regional Training Manager in Dubai. “It’s estimated that 1 women per minute dies from Cardiovascular Disease and it’s not just older women”, continued Ahed.
