F.A.S.T. I O
Well as I wrote earlier I just passed my PHTLS. I learned some very intersting things there. I think my favorite by far had to be the F.A.S.T. Sternal IO. Has anyone actually used this yet other than in the military? What are your thoughts on it? What about the EZ-IO what do you think of it and have you used it yet?

The agency I work for has both, the FAST and EZ I/O on our trucks. Ive personally used both and I'm not sold on the Sternal device...I have found that this device does not penetrate deep enough on larger patients and infiltrates easily on others. So far I am only 1 for 3 in the field...and 33% is not good! I have also used the EZ I/O device and it works great!!! Thus far, I am 100%...(knock on wood). I know a lot of other Paramedics who have found the same success with this device.
