45 Y/O working in Providence Rhode Island (that little state squeezed between Connecticut and Massachusetts. No we are not part of Long Island NY.

Presently I am in my 25th year on the second busiest Fire Department in New England, assigned to EMS Rescue 5 in the downcity section of Providence. Our truck does a constant 5,000 to 5,500 runs per year. We are full ALS (Cardiac Level, a Rhode Island thing) above Intermediate, but below Paramedic, although I will be finally setting time aside to take my Paramedic course in January of 2010.

I am currently assigned to the PFD Division of Training as a 1041 fire instructor as well as an EMS Instructor Coordinator for RI. I own and direct Emergency Medical Training, Inc. since 2005 and look to expand to a new facility and training center this fall (contingent on financing).
