Volunteer Ambulance Corps with paid staff

Until recently I was the director of operations, well, I still have the title, but not much of the responsibilities. I did this as a volunteer and ran with the agency as an paid EMT. So, we have a set of by-laws governing our agency that were written back in 1999 that we are going by, while they are being revamped. Everything goes through our general membership. Our Board of directors decided that they…See More

Electronic PCRS

I have a question; We are a small agency that does on an average of 800 calls a year. We are looking to bring our agency up to modern times and go to electronic PCRs. We are looking into these three companies:EmsChartsZoll EpcrsEso SolutionsDoes anyone have any idea, what the Pros and Cons are to each of these or preference as to which one is better? Thanks. BP variations in each arm

I recently had a patient that had in their left arm 124/82 and in their right arm 167/91. The whole trip to the hospital they both stayed with in the ranges stated. I was told this is a common medical condition. So when I arrived with the patient, I asked the nurse about this and anyone else at the ER what the name of this condition was.....No one could remember what it was called! Can you believe it?! No one in the ER, Doctor or nurse could tell me, only that it was a medical condition that…See More
