- Well Ive been an EMT since Oct of 2009. I'm employed by two diff services,and soon to be three. I'm KY certified and jus finished my TN class to be dual state. I've been accepted into the Paramedic program at the same college where I got my EMT. I love EMS and Fire and being able to help ppl is my heart beat. I love being with friends cuz I'm a social butterfly Im told lol. Anything else you want to know jus ask:)

- It's a bad way mate! I am bored to live in italy without a future in EMS! I am evaluating to come to USA to become an EMT. But it is not easy. I am italian and I don't know if after the EMT-B I can find a work without the citizenship. How do you think about it?

Jeremiah Bush said… - Well Jake, most schools require at least 6 months to a year of full time work experience. If you already have that ( or what ever they are asking) then the next question to ask yourself is are you ready? Any one can learn ALS, but what and how you use it is what matters. You need a really solid BLS foundation first or else there is nothing to build on. Do a real honest assessment of yourself and your skills, and start looking in some medic text books especially A&P and Pharmacology and see how it feels. Also see if there is a medic prep class offered anywhere. I took one before going to medic school just to get a head start and it was great.
