It's an ice storm in Winnipeg...lots of business on ambulance. Greg - tonight's the night for those push-up I think. ;-) M

Ya, I have an injury slowing me down, too. I tore my MCL again when I slipped on a patch of ice. It's not horrible, luckly, but it is slowing me down.

Hey Thad,
No kidding batman! I'm hurting...but determined. Week 1 for me. I'm hoping the rest of my PCP class will join me. In the meantime, lets keep at her...

Starting Week 2. It's tougher than I thought.

For those of you at least three weeks in keep at it. Body weight exercises are the greatest. When you get a few weeks under your belt try sets of 20. I do 140 on my work days and an hour of body weight exercises on my days off. I really enjoy what I call the magic 300. It takes 20 minutes and you are done. One push-up, two crunches; two push-ups, four crunches; three push-ups, six crunches; up to ten and twenty and back down. Great cardio as well if you do them fast enough. You can even mix up the type of push-ups if you'd like to include Hindu, one armed, etc.. By the way, I'll soon be 49 years old and will do one handed, handstand push-ups on my 50th birthday.

Stupid flu is causing me to fall behind. I hate being sick.

Oh, and if you like the 100 pushup program try the 200 sit up program. It works really well, too.

After numerous false starts, I started the 100 Pushup program in earnest today. Initial test did 15 really good form pushups before eeking out two more "head bobs" then collapsing. Not bad for a start, considering the last time I did pushups was when playing high school football thirty (YES THIRTY!) years ago. I may have to take 12 weeks to complete this but I will complete it. Good luck all.

I began both challenges last night - 100 pushups and 200 situps, starting in the middle on week 3 for each program. I already exercise a lot, but have mainly focused on cardio and leg work, so my upper body isn't nearly as strong. Boy, can I feel it this morning! My chest and abs are a little sore, but it's the good kind of pain that makes you feel like you're accomplishing something. I can’t wait to see my muscle development over the next month. Maybe I’ll have the confidence to wear a Speedo to the pool this Spring, but probably not!
