An EMS Blog:

"You called 911 for What?!

It is a more tongue-in-cheek blog that is completely dependent on peer participation.  It deals
with the very unusual emergency calls and ridiculous 911 abuse issues that we
come across in fire, ems, police, and dispatching.  The blog is a place
for people to get a laugh, share a laugh, and take stock in the fact
that they aren't the only ones shaking their heads.  Perhaps, those not
in the emergency service will be educated of our job experiences.

Please check it out, book mark it, and share!

Had one lady ring just to ask how the process would happen to get an autopsy on her mother. Big thing was that her mother wasn't dead yet!!
my finger hurts....
My old company use to get called to a home where a lady almost always had a doctors appointment the next day.The one day I went we knock on the door her adult son answers and did not ever know that she called for breathing difficulties she was sitting in her wheel chair in the next room fine. We cancelled the medic that just showed up you just get sick of calls like that.
We have a guy that calls everyda for his asthma, when we take him to the hospital he leaves and calls 911 again to go to another hospital. This goes on all day until he finds where he wants to be and gets treated and fed and then he starts all over again the next day. Pretty crazy and hair pulling experiance.
