I'm looking at going back to Paramedic (again, thanks to NREMT not having grandfather clauses for deployed soldiers) and attend the fire academy as well in hopes of landing a paramedic job with a FD. Problem is, I'll be 45 when I get done; any thoughts by fellow medics of whether this is even a possibility? I've never worked fire, so I'm not sure what their policies are, even though there isn't a maximum age at many FDs, I have to be realistic. I'm in great shape, and have about 15 years of EMS experience.
