Ok... there has to be other women in EMS who have had the same difficulty finding EMS pants... right? So where did you end up finding them? [I'm even having trouble finding (affordable ones) them online!]

I am part of a paid-on-call department and need to find proper pants to wear and am having a very difficult time finding anyone who stocks them for women! (Please don't suggest that I just get some men's pants as they won't fit properly. Men simply don't have 'hips' cut into their pants... )

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Lady O! The problem I'm having it finding a store that carries the pants in women's sizes. Even those that carry the men's pants don't have them in the size I'd need. I'm a plus size and the men's sizes - even if the hips weren't an issue - don't go up that large. (Not sure why since this is Wisconsin and we supposedly have the most overweight people per capita?!)

The other issue is the cost... my husband isn't happy with the fact that I have to buy them and the difference in cost between men's and women's that I've found so far is between $20 and $40. That's a huge difference in price, in my opinion.

Where do you find yours... or are you able to wear the men's just fine?

Thanks for your reply!
I don't mind at all! I appreciate it very much! Thank you!
Can you e-mail it to me as well I have the same problem finding them.

Elbeco all the way. Bought mine in our local store for $45. The most comfortable and efficient pants I own.

Thanks for the info on Propper products! I've seen the name as I've searched! The guys at the station all wear Dickies... but I can't find those in women's sizes (locally).

It's good to hear feedback on the brand names! Thanks!
Hello,
I dont know about online but there is a brand of pants called EMT Womens by Rothco that fit pretty well. I had a hard time too when I first started as and EMT finding pants where the crotch didnt come down to my knees. These are tailored pretty well for women with curves. Im sure that they are sold somewhere online.
Good Luck,
Rihana EMT-B
Sorry I forgot to add that I bought them at an Army Navy Surplus Store for about $30.
Thanks! I did stop at the Army Navy Surplus store here but they didn't have any and the ones he had in the catalog aren't sized for women. There is a larger town nearby that may have a larger selection so maybe I'll head up there. I also found a uniform supplier in the next town over that is likely to have what I'm looking for... good to know the brands so thanks!
